A meeting of moderators and keynote speakers of thematic sessions of VII World Congress of Finno-Ugric Peoples was held in Moscow

On 8th of February, in preparations for the VII World Congress of Finno-Ugric peoples, the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Komi in Moscow was hosting a meeting with moderators and keynote speakers of the thematic areas. Representatives of ten of the Finno-Ugric nations attended the meeting.

In addition to a general conversation among all of the participants regarding organizational issues of the thematic sessions, moderators and keynote speakers of each thematic area separately discussed subjects of the sessions in detail as well as main points that should be paid special attention to. The Congress hosts stressed that all the thematic sessions should include simultaneous translation to the main languages ​​of the Congress and that there will be a multimedia equipment in the auditoriums.

In addition, there will be an opportunity to organize and carry out so called open sessions during the Congress based on preliminary applications of the congress participants. Topics not covered by the planned thematic sessions, may be there discussed.

As the meeting participants observed, a general conversation and discussions concerning each session were fruitful and will undoubtedly serve as a basis for successful and constructive work at the thematic meetings of the World Congress in Lahti.
